30 Days Happiness Challenge To A Happier Version Of You

Sharing is caring!

“If you want to be happy, you have to be happy on purpose. When you wake up, you can’t just wait to see what kind of day you’ll have. You have to decide what kind of day you’ll have.” – Joel Osteen.

Have you ever been involved in a challenge before? What was your experience? Did it help you improve in any area of your life? If it did, then you should try out a challenge like a 30-days happiness challenge!

Like growth in any area of our lives, becoming a truly happy person results from consistent and intentional decisions and efforts and not a chain of pleasant happenings and events.

This implies that to be genuinely happy will require consistent efforts from you. Yes! You, my dear, are the biggest and most important factor in your journey to being happy, and if you refuse to build your happiness, then no one else can!

However, most people struggle to be truly happy despite all their efforts to be. Then what could be the problem?

Perhaps they could be doing it all wrong, or it could be a case of ignorance! But whatever the problem is, I have a solution to help you out! With this, you can live a happier life, and if you aren’t happy, well, you could permanently say “good riddance” to unhappiness.

So, here’s the solution I have to share. You can be happier by doing a 30-day happiness challenge! Now you might be wondering, “how does participating in a challenge help in any way?”

Easy! I’ll break any doubts about the effectiveness of this formula! Remember when I said living a happier life requires a whole bundle of intentionality?

Aha! This is the point where you’ll get to understand why! But before then, let me share a few tricks that will show you how powerful being intentional about your happiness can be!

1.  Begin Each Day With A Smile, Whether You Feel Good Or Not

“A smile is a happiness you’ll find right under your nose.” –Tom Wilson.

Kindly take note of the above words, “whether you feel good or not.” Now, we’ve mostly been taught that our emotions influence us and how our lives should be.

This makes us grow and mature into individuals who have an ideology that the events and happenings in our lives should determine our happiness. Well, this is me telling you that you have been lied to.

It is not true! It is your choice to allow your emotions to affect or influence you. This means if you ever feel bad, it is your choice to remain so! You can choose to feel good and happier if you want to.

I know it’s easier said than done, but stay with me! So, an excellent way to become more intentional about your happiness is to intentionally start your day with a beautiful smile!

The benefits of smiling do not just affect your happiness alone but also your health. Smiling more helps you relieve stress, reduces pain and blood pressure, increases endurance, and boosts your immune system!

This is because smiling helps your mood and also assists your body in releasing cortisol and endorphins, which provide tons of health advantages.

Choose and decide to smile at the first ten people you meet at the beginning of the day. By doing this, you are gradually influencing your brain and emotions to go bonkers! And then, you’ll suddenly feel a lot better.

Do this with the same energy you’d use if you were participating in a challenge like a 30-day happiness challenge that has lots of helpful benefits to your growth and success. Do this and observe the kind of changes that will emerge from smiling intentionally!

2.  Appreciate The Smallest Things

“I think it’s important to find the little things in everyday life that make you happy.” – Paula Cole.

I think if I was Paula Cole, I’d have added “and value them” to the quote. Yes! This is as effective as the 30-day happiness challenge itself!

Learning to value your happiness intentionally is an excellent way to build your happiness consciously! And when I mean little things, I am talking about small, subtle acts of affection, kindness, love, and positivity that we give and receive from people around us.

Yes! A simple thank you, a warm smile, or kiss, a hug, and an encouraging hug are little acts that go a long way in communicating tons of beautiful emotions.

Do not hesitate to give out love and remind a loved one of how much you care! You can also try the same out with strangers or acquaintances.

Something as little as a love note or a compliment would go a long way! Remember that this is about your intentionality to be happy. So you have to practice it consciously and consistently until it becomes a part of you.

The little things we might consider insignificant positive acts are the ones that leave long-lasting marks, impressions, and memories in the hearts and minds of people.

Imagine if we all valued them as much as we should. The world would be one big happy planet!

Learn to give and receive them! Value them too, as they can be very precious. Trust me; nothing brings a good smile to your face when you remember a simple, small act of affection, especially from a loved one. Value the little things today!

3.  Challenge Yourself To Be Happier

“The key to life is to accept challenges. Once someone stops doing this, he is dead.” – Bette Davis.

To be intentional, you have to choose to be uncomfortable and unsatisfied with the current state of things.

You have to have a strong desire for positive change and improvement, including your happiness.

A great and simple way to become happy is to challenge yourself to be happier. This is where the 30-day happiness challenge comes in super handy!

I will tell you all you need to know about the 30-day happiness challenge by answering simple questions about it.

Here’s a common question people ask when they get introduced to the 30-day happiness challenge, “how can I be happy in 30 days?” Simple! By being intentional about your happiness in those 30 days!

If intentionality is absent, you might not be happy in those 30 days no matter how hard you try. This is why the 30-days happiness challenge is here to help you.
