A budget is a financial statement that shows the proposed expenses. It is a very good way of outlining and streamlining your financial journey.
For every week, it is important to have a budget; basically you should take time out on a Sunday to propose your financial journey for the week and plan out how you’re going to spend your money so you do not end up wasting a lot of money.
For the week it is important for you to allocate certain amounts to your wants and needs and this is where drawing your scale of preference in order of priority is very essential.
Knowing how to create a budget gives you an idea of your financial status at a time and knowing your financial status helps you create a financial environment that is suitable and convenient for you.
2. Clear Your Mails

Over the weekend and during the previous week, it is possible that your mail inbox must have been filled with a lot of emails from firms you probably subscribed to.
It is important that you actually check your mail inbox for new mails, delete the irrelevant ones and ensure that your inbox is ready for a new week because you might be receiving new emails as well.
3. Decide On A Big Goal

Sunday is the perfect day to decide on a big goal for the week. It is going be another long week and not having a major goal could hamper the beauty of your week.
It is good to have a lot of goals targeted for achievement during the week but it is equally important to have a major goal you want to pursue aggressively. Now to the main spice, How do you create a perfect Sunday to-do list?
How Do You Create A Perfect Sunday To-Do List?

There is no clear-cut rule as to what and what not to include in your to-do list, however, in creating the list, you must factor in some considerations. These considerations will help in tailoring your approach towards achieving the goals. With these factors in mind, you will be able to streamline your goals to achievable levels and ultimately be more productive.
First, you should know that creating a Sunday to-do list is almost the same as creating a to-do list for any other day of the week. You must, however, be cautious of the fact that you are writing with the purview of a new week in mind.
In the next few paragraphs, and in no particular order, I will be giving you tips on how you can create a perfect Sunday to-do list. These are factors that you should consider when creating a Sunday to-do list.
1. Be As Simple As Possible

Simplicity is key in decision making. Incorporating an element of simplicity in your to-do list is very essential. To achieve this, your goals have to be realistic.
It is understandable if you have a lot of activities and you feel like you can actually crush all your goals in one day or the next few days, however, you should also realize that creating a Sunday to-do list involves realism. In other words, do not set goals you cannot achieve.
2. Pick A Medium

Your medium could be using a pen and a piece of paper to make notes and it could be using one of the many beautiful applications available online.
You can go online and google the best applications to create your to-do list. It all depends on what interests you. The importance of choosing what suits you is hinged on the fact that you might be revisiting your list frequently and if the medium is not your forte, you will most likely get tired in no time.
You do not expect a techy person to adopt a paper-and-pen style of writing to create a to-do list. And even if they do, how possible is the continuity of such a rigorous task?
3. Break The Ice By Starting Easy
In starting your to-do list, I would suggest that you place the simple tasks first. By placing the simple tasks first, you’re helping yourself prepare for the harder tasks.
Achieving simple goals helps in strengthening your mental space. If I see laundry as a difficult task, I would not want to place it as the first thing on my to-do list. It is best to start with an easy task and proceed to tough ones.
4. Be Specific

When creating your Sunday to-do list, being specific is key. Specificity plays a major role in that. Being specific entails details of your tasks in the clear-cut terms.
List specific steps you can take to achieve your goals. Also, your to-do list should only include tasks you can do in one sitting and if you would need the help of anyone, ensure to include their roles in the list.
5. Do Not Leave Out Any Detail

This is basically giving details to your list. You should include every detail that you can because this can aid the ease with which you achieve your goals.
Say, for instance, your goal is to put a call through to somebody during the week, when writing the list, you could include the person’s phone number to avoid scrambling for it when it is needed.
6. Timing
In the last few paragraphs, I talked about the importance of time management and the essence of utilizing your time effectively. If you have made a list of what to do, then you should time them. Timing ensures that you actualize your goals within the time frame of your activeness.
When you attach a time frame to each activity, you would automatically increase the level of discipline and commitment. Also, ensure to add dates to your list as well. If for instance, you’re making a list of what to do in the next few days, it will be best if you add dates to the activities to avoid any form of confusion.
7. Make It Public
Now, you will agree with me that there are some tasks that you cannot do on our own unless you are under some sort of monitoring. The idea behind putting your list out is to ensure that you are accountable; maybe not to a particular person but at least, to anyone who views your list.
So, you can paste the list on a refrigerator or in the kitchen or somewhere that is open and everyone could access it. The essence is that they could always remind you of something you’re supposed to be doing at a particular time in case you have forgotten.
8. Revisit Your Schedules

This might seem cliché but it is another important factor that should be considered when creating a perfect Sunday to-do list. After creating your to-do list, you should revisit it for proper vetting. This would help you filter the unnecessary activities or delay some till the next week.
As you write your Sunday to-do list, bear in mind the fact that you do not want to overwork yourself – that’s the reason for a to-do list, anyway- and you should be cautious not to overcrowd your list as this can lead to stress.
9. Flexibility Is Key
As you write down your list, try to inculcate a break time. This might be for a few minutes. Despite the fact that you are drawing a to-do list, you really cannot predict your day or week! Something else might pop up and inadequate preparation for the unexpected might completely ruin your plan.
It is therefore essential for you to create a break time which could serve as a time for rest and also a time to fix an unexpected problem, in case any pops up.
10. Think About The Bigger Picture
Truly, your daily goals are expected to be directly linked to “the bigger picture”. The concept of goal-setting is completely different and would not really be explained here, you can check out my detailed analysis on goals setting; everything you need to know on how to set actionable goals and the type of goals to set.
However, one cannot overlook the nexus that these two shares. For instance, if you have a goal of being the most punctual staff at your workplace, then on Sunday, while creating your to-do list, you should include your wake up time and stick to it.
If you see the achievement of your dream as a product of your commitment to your to-do list, then there is a high chance your list would turn out to be a success.
There is a satisfying aura that accompanies knowing exactly when you are going to do a particular task. So, there you have it. Those are pro-tips on how you can create a perfect Sunday to-do list. In creating plans for your Sunday or the entire week, ensure that you are tailored towards these tips.
Remember, this is in no particular order so, you can decide on which to pick to suit your goals. I do hope that with these tips you will be able to create your own Sunday to-do list perfectly.
