“And so, with the sunshine and the great bursts of leave growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” – F.Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
We are so accustomed to the hustle and bustle that survival ushers in that it becomes difficult to break out from that tag of stress or even appreciate the season of us slowing down to take a pause or a break.
At the early stage in my business, in my bible of commitment, there was nothing like breaks or vacations, I was so accustomed with my working patterns that I couldn’t take proper care of my inner and mental stability or get adequate rest or sleep and it resulted to me breaking down emotionally, healthy wise and physically hence a major turnaround in my self-care goals was outlined.
I have cultivated the habit of taking short or long breaks/vacations without work to help me reduce my stress levels and invest more into my mental and inner wellness.
I recently came back from a short trip from the outskirt of the city buzz. And I must say I feel rejuvenated, refreshed and pumped to start the other half of the year, just with the short vacation and relieving space I had been exposed to.
